Restaurant Le Coverdale - Tadoussac

During our hotel stay, we decided to sample the dinner menu at the restaurant. The waiter provided excellent service, and both the appetizer and main course were beautifully presented and flavorful. We regretted not dining there the previous day, as we were only staying for two days, but unfortunately, they were fully booked. We will definitely return the next time we are in town.

Our evening at Tadoussac was completely ruined by our dining experience at this restaurant. It took 3.5 hours for a dinner for two people. It took 30 minutes for them to even take our order, another 30 minutes for bread to arrive, and the food took a total of two hours to come out after we sat down. The food itself was very average, with the French onion soup we ordered arriving 1.5 hours late and somehow still cold. The bill for a soup, an appetizer, and two entrees for two people came to around 150 CAD.

The food at this restaurant was average, not exceptional. The wine list was disappointing.

We dined here tonight. Slow service. Mustard allergy. Asked to check if their is mustard in their ceasar dressing, if not bring me a salad. I get a salad no dressing with chef saying all ceasars are made with mustard. Waited at least 20 minutes for a oil vinegar dressing to come out for the salad. Gnocchi was rancid tasting. Either bad oil or flour. Immediate headache after a few bites. My sons cod and sprimp he enjoyed. Kids mac and cheese ok. The shrimp special was enjoyed by my friend. Worse 4 star restaurant ive ever been.

I had high hopes going into this place. Had a few people tell me it was excellent. Started our visit with the hostess who is very firm and not friendly, it was like we were disturbing her and then the waitress who was lost for most of the evening. She started off ok and then after the main course disappeared for 30 minutes before bringing us the dessert menu and then another 20 minutes before we could order it. The soup of the day was excellent. I had a very overpriced filet mignon it was cooked perfectly and the vegetables too but the portion was extremely small, possibly 4oz definitely not worth the 37$. My wife had the seafood pasta which she enjoyed but the size was very small too.
