La Salsa Mexican Food - Tacoma

Buried inside a nondescript strip mall, this is an authentic gem for real Oaxacan food. Huge variety, all carefully prepared by friendly and knowledgeable staff. Oh, please order the Tepache drink: freshly made and super-delicious.Only downside: portions are HUGE. I would have liked to try multiple, smaller platesKid-friendliness: Huge food court with plenty of large tables.

I ordered 3 carne asada sopes. The meat was seasoned very well and they were really good. My only complaint is that the sopes had more lettuce than meat. Other than that, they were great. Will definitely be going back to try the rest of the menu.Food: 4/5

The huevos rancheros were terrible and flavorless, as were the salsas. Took them over 35 minutes to make the food even though it wasn’t busy. A truly joyless experience. Overpriced and under seasoned. Zero stars.
