Hot Rod Dog - Tacoma

I visited this place for the first time, and it certainly won’t be the last. The owner has a wonderfully warm and friendly personality.

Shannon and I visited this restaurant earlier today, October 31, 2023, before exploring Tacoma for a bit. The owner was exceptionally friendly and served delicious hot dogs accompanied by outstanding customer service in a relaxed setting. We found the food to be simple yet of high quality. I ordered a beef hot dog while Shannon opted for a German bratwurst. There were plenty of toppings available for our hot dogs. This is a small local business run by a dedicated gentleman who puts in a lot of effort to make it thrive. We will definitely be back. P.S. Happy early birthday to the owner (sorry, I didn’t catch your name)!

This is a fantastic little hot dog stand located among the shops near the Glass Bridge. My husband ordered the regular hot dog, while I opted for the German Bratwurst. Both were absolutely delicious, featuring wonderfully soft buns that held the hot dogs and toppings perfectly. The owner was very personable, and we enjoyed chatting with him for a bit. I will definitely be returning!

Unfortunately, due to Covid-19, the owner had to shut down for a year, but the good news is that they are back in business! I recently tried the rosemary chicken sausage, and it made for a delightful lunch! The sausage was incredibly tasty, and the portion size was just right. The owner is very friendly and welcoming! I highly recommend stopping by for a delicious hot dog during your lunch break if you’re in the area!

Be sure to try the German sausage at this place. They serve some of the best dishes around. Absolutely delicious!
