The Clam - Syracuse

This was a special treat....and this is the perfect place for seafood. My friends and I also had drinks and dessert. All fresh, all good! Will come back soon!

The Clam Bar is always consistently good. I had fish tacos today and they were delicious. Our server was very attentive and friendly. I recommend this place.

This was my first time and experience at the Clan Bar. The food was brilliant, the waitress was brilliant, the price was also deep, but not too bad. The Ribeye Steak, salmon, roasted mussels Scallops shrimp was great??? We also had drinks that were very reasonable. I'll probably be back next week.

Everything was fresh and delicious. Great seafood spot and a must in the Syracuse area.

This was not our first visit. We did take out. They do seafood well, but we haven't tried everything. Lisa says the clams in the linguini and red clam sauce were huge and delicious. I love their fish, all the dishes are good. Sadly, on this last visit the fried clams were either over done or cooked in oil that needed to be changed. Since the name of the joint is the clam bar, that was disappointing. Lisa got the golden combo and it was all perfect, except for the clams, of course. Oh, except she wondered about the fish portion of the combo it seemed like someone took a regular piece of fish and ripped it in half. Strange. I got the fried haddock with onion rings and it was awesome. The fish is so light and flaky and the batter is crispy and delicious. Another minus on this visit was the delivery of incorrect salad dressing and no lemon included or offered. Not the end of the world of course, since we were at home, but if we were in a hotel that would have been a drag. They were kind enough to provide napkins and plastic forks and knives, and they tartar and cocktail sauce was more than adequate for the amount of food served. We paid $51 for 2 entrees and a kids meal, which is a good value for what we got, and would have been a great value (no offense Walmart) had the fried clams been done right. There is plenty of parking and it's in a fairly busy area, right near sweetheart corners. The bartender was friendly.
