Margarita's Mexican Cantina - Syracuse

Went to dinner with my significant other for her Birthday, had one drink each and our meals. She received the wrong order and the waiter stopped by once, mumbled some nonsense, then walked away. We were then charged automatic 20% gratuity for terrible service on a two person check. Nowhere does it state 20% gratuity is automatic either. Absolutely terrible business etiquette. Will never go back.

PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR TABS!Stopped in for appetizers and drinks for lunch last week. Everything was okay.What is not okay is the included gratuity on the tab. We were a party of two on a weekday afternoon, why is there included gratuity? Two appetizers and 3 drinks for $70 with your included gratuity and you want more...why?I'm guessing it's more of an issue with staff being underpaid but quite frankly that isn't my problem. I won't be patronizing any restaurant that feels two tips is a necessary means to an end. It's middle-of-the-road Mexican--not fine dining. Charge more for the food if you have to, but do not put it on your customers to ensure your staff can survive.

Really good! Would have returned if we weren't so busy. The restaurant was vibrantly decorated, the food was wonderful, the server was so friendly. All-in-all, a great experience.

Met a friend for dinner. The atmosphere was enjoyable and active with customers and girls having a bday party. The staff sang for the bday girl. I had fajitas, chicken and carnitas. The portion was large. All of the meat was week seasoned. I would recommend the meal. The restaurant was clean.

I had the enchiladas, beans, rice, and margaritas, and everything was delicious! The enchiladas were especially good, with a flavorful filling and a crispy tortilla.
