Citronelle - Syracuse

Superb service for a private party, looking forward to when Citronelle opens to the public brings in live music…btw..excellent chocolate mousse!

We thoroughly enjoyed a delicious meal at Citronelle on a recent Saturday evening. Service by Jeremy was attentive, appetizers (calamari, oysters, shrimp cocktail were all amazing! The burrata salad was outstanding and the steaks were succulent and perfectly cooked. I would highly recommend this restaurant....and may sit at the bar next time:

I took an Uber to another restaurant, but it was too loud and crowded for my taste. I wandered down the street and found this place. I sat at the bar, where I had a cheese/charcuterie plate, and a filet. This is a beautiful, elegant restaurant, that's not pretentious. Christopher is a fantastic bartender. His customers are important, but he doesn't hover. That's a hard balance to strike. If I lived in Syracuse, this would be a place I would visit at least once a week.

This is, far and away, the best place to get a cocktail in Syracuse. the food never disappoints, but when I'm having dinner of a similar calibre elsewhere I'm ALWAYS disappointed with the drinks they pour. the only place in Syracuse to properly make a vesper, the best margarita you can get, and they'll pull together a paloma if you ask politely. it may sound kitsch, but ask for the colour changing margarita, it's showy but backed up with great taste
