Sackville Pub Grill - Sydney

We used to adore visiting The Sackville just for the salt and pepper squid, which was incredibly crispy and delicious. Unfortunately, they've recently changed the recipe, and now it's served as chunks of chewy squid in a smaller portion that lacks the crispiness we loved. We're disappointed with this new menu change, but the pub itself is still great. When we asked the staff if the chef had changed, they also shared our disappointment with the new squid recipe.

I used to visit this place regularly on Friday nights, and I came back for dinner on a Thursday. The food was fantastic—definitely enjoyed the salmon salad! It's definitely worth a try, and the setup is great too.

This restaurant has a great atmosphere with its ambient lighting. I've visited several times, and it's definitely child-friendly, which is a huge plus if you have kids. However, if you're without children, it can get a bit noisy. The wine selection is excellent, and the staff are always eager to share their expertise on both wine and food. The steaks are fantastic, and the pork belly appetizer is quite remarkable as well.

What a discovery. Probably the fanciest display of both cookery and ingredients in a burger outside of fine dining ever. Foie Gras. Truffle. Short rib. And I got to eat it! Winning. The flavours although quite rich, worked well. The bun did as well as it could to hold it all together. Wings were awesome too

Nice safe friendly place with a good menu to match. Nice dining area for families but hard to get a table on weekends. The menu changes so always good to go again and again...
