One On One Brasserie - Sydney

Very good fries and fast food in general. all super fresh and natural. The vegetables were great, everything was very tasty. I recommend coming with friends, they serve you fast and well.

Was staying in the hotel so we thought we would visit for a quick drink before heading into Darling Harbour. Two hours later, and several "happy hour" drinks consumed......we headed happily back to our room for room service! Adam is a wonderful bar man and is incredibly friendly and easy to chat to. He went out of his way to provide us with local information and tips. We ventured down every night of our stay for a quick drink, chat, reading of the newspapers and happily watched people go by. We look forward coming back one day soon.

We had a small gathering which whittled down to just 20 people on the day. The great part about choosing here was that unlike the minumum spend that other hotels requested to have a seperate room, this hotel only had a spend of $700. Tick. As it was a family reunion the room, and getting together were the most important. The staff were friendly and pleasant and the wine list and prices suited what we needed perfectly.The downside was the food. To make it easier for the kitchen I'd offered to have a reduced menu to make choices easier and to help with the kitchen. I was asked to ring thru with people's choices directly to the kitchen on the morning of the function and the Chef mentioned he had lots of High Teas going out that day. Maybe that's where we made the mistake and should have gone with the High Tea rather than the reduced a la carte because with the exception of the Barramundi which was quite good, every other meal (especially the 3 entrees) was what you would expect in a very ordinary club. My mother who is the only person I know that thinks "aeroplane food" is ok, even had to send back her soup as it was so inedible and curdled. The buffalo wings looked bit large brown rocks they were so over cooked, and the chips that accompanied some of the meals tasted like they'd been cooked many times over. Even the kids meal burger was totally ordinary and dry. I'd love to say dessert saved the day, but sadly very average. Get togethers are a different affair because you are talking and distracted so where I might ordinarly have said something at the time, it wasn't the time and place and being the organiser of the event I kept hoping for better. At the end of the day we had a good day getting together and it was a good thing that food wasn't the priority.

6 of us went for high tea with a deal we bought off Groupon. The quality of the food was extremely good - warm savories (not the usual sausage rolls, sandwiches etc) that looked and taste like it was cooked in a Masterchef's kitchen. We had a fantastic time - the atmosphere was very relaxed and wait staff were accomodating - we forgot that one of us is a vegetarian and he brought her a special plate.Will definately go again with the girls when there is another offer !

I slept through breakfast at the hotel corny, I had to look at this place. Very much even nothing. Helpful and friendly staff. Delicious coffee, rolls, scrambled eggs. All liked it! Recommend!
