Haigh's Chocolates Strand Arcade

Located on the entrance to the strand arcade on george street Haighs chocolate is too tempting to walk past. They have individual chocolates to choose from to be hand picked and put together which are perfect for gifts. However there are plenty of pre made gift boxes, chocolate blocks and anything else you can imagine. From chocolate buttons, freckles, macadamias, coffee beans you name it they have it. The store also has a selection of non chocolate items including jellies, toffees and fruit drops. With everything beautifully presented you cannot go wrong.

I have to admit I am a huge fan of these South Australian chocolates. I always end up with way too many chocolates from here each time I visit. I stocked up as have run out at home. The service here is always lovely and courteous. Bonus is that they always offer samples at purchase time so that is a nice touch. It was buzzing with people today getting their chocolate fix. I went with a mixed bag of treats today. I would usually get lots of the milk chocolate nuts but wanted something different today. I ended up getting a Chocolate Hazelnut Cookie, Milk Scorched Almonds, Berry Chocs, and Milk Macadamia And Coconut Block.

My go to chocolate place when I need to keep the Mrs happy. A good selection of your favorite treats along with some flavour combos make for a difficult time selecting what to take home. If there's a down side it's that pricing can be a little steep.

Definitely one of my favourite chocolatiers! Love the flavour of their chocolate and that melt in the mouth goodness. Makes me forget momentarily that it is a little pricey. :) The store is small, so doesn't take long for it to get crowded.

Popped in here for a few sweets. It is located in the strand arcade, central location, very popular. Chocolate is delicious and they offer lots of different types; frogs, buttons, bars, etc. I got some small chocolate bites, chocolate covered coffee beans and these were great at home with a cup of tea.
