Gelatissimo - Sydney

Delicious ice cream! And what a beautiful view to walk and have your ice cream at, right on circular quay and the views of the harbour bridge and opera house.????????

Gelatissimo has a lof of choises for the flavor, but... I think it's not very special for me. The taste is so standard, just average. And some flavors are too sweet and not that 'smooth'

I remembered having my first Gelatissimo a good decade ago. And the sweet memories of apple and strawberry flavour gelato stuck with me for a very long time. They'll always be my first love! Loving the Endless Summer gelato series with fresh new flavours - The Beach Babe (peach and blood orange) and Budge Smuggler (mango, coconut and white chocolate). They're so good, I went for seconds! And Gelassimo's Brookie was a wow-ser. Smooth gelato sandwiched between two delicious chocolate cookies. It's to-die-for! There are two Gelatissimo in Darling Harbour and The Rocks (and they are close by). For a chill and quiet atmosphere, I would pick The Rocks anytime. No complaints. You know exactly what you are getting at every gelatissimo store. The staff are usually fast but it gets a bit hectic at the circular quay store, so beware of people pushing in. The staff will not notice who was there first so you need to make sure you are seen. I love all their flavours and it's perfect for a hot Sydney day by the harbour (although it's probably less messy in a cup as it melts fast!)

For the love of god – how hard is it to find waffles in Circular Quay? This was my third stop at 8.30pm on a tuesday night in search of satisfying this pregnancy-like food craving I'd been having for hours and of course this outlet of Gelatissmo is like the Coles Express version of a supermarket offering only cones and tubs – no waffles! Shoot me now! I considered an ice cream donut but opted for the cone and thought I'd combine the coconut with the Tiramisu. Mmmmmmm. Interesting combo and cravings satisfied for now... I'll try tomorrow – I am determined to have waffles!
