Contribuiți la feedbackA nice little cafe with heaps of vegan options which are very tasty! Not only that, they are dog friendly! We came with 7 large dogs and they were happy to have us! Lovely staff and a nice little spot. Updated from previous review on 2021-03-19
An abundance of vegan options on the menu, despite also selling meat. When I ordered a vegan version of a vegetarian dish, the waitress asked what I wanted to substitute for the eggs very rare that we are asked that! Normally we wouldn't be offered anything to replace the non vegan items. Was very happy with the service, will definitely be going back. The tumeric chickpea dish (Health Attack) was amazing, lots of flavour, delicious! Very busy on a Saturday morning. Lovely atmosphere sitting outside on a sunny day.
I adore a café that continues to serve customers with a smile even as they are preparing to close. I especially value it when the espresso machine is still running for a much-needed caffeine boost on a late Saturday afternoon.
I ordered a vegan cake from Raw Passion to pick up at Espresso 96, but there were some problems with the order and it wasn't ready when I went to get it. The staff/owner was extremely helpful and friendly, apologized for the inconvenience, and even helped me call to sort out the issue. Since I needed a cake for the day, I ended up buying a vegan cake from their shop instead. It was $5 more expensive, but it was worth it considering all the effort they put in. Overall, a great experience despite the initial hiccup.
As residents of Concord, we have tried all the cafes along Majors Bay Road and Espresso 96 has become our favorite. While we have only visited for breakfast, the lunch menu also looks promising. The menu offers a variety of options and the portions are generous. I especially enjoy the Dukkah poached eggs with halloumi, avocado, rocket, and beetroot relish. The dishes are always fresh, and the eggs are consistently cooked perfectly. Additionally, the cafe serves high-quality bread and generous portions of toast. The coffee from Toby's Estate is consistently excellent, and they also offer tea in large tea pots. The prices are reasonable considering the quality of the food and the ample portions. The cafe staff is friendly and welcoming, especially towards children. Baby chinos are offered for free, and the high chairs with trays make dining with small children hassle-free. Overall, I highly recommend this cafe. The menu caters to everyone, and the staff is attentive and accommodating. In my opinion, this cafe offers the best breakfast in Concord.
