Contribuiți la feedbackThis restaurant is a hidden gem. Dish is situated at the far end of Glebe Point Road, beyond the Toxteth Hotel. The ambiance is charming, the food is outstanding, and the service is top-notch. Whenever I crave delicious Sri Lankan cuisine, this is the only place I will visit. #srilankan
We tried the pakoras, which were served with delicious condiments, kottu roti, and hoppers with lamb curry. Everything was cooked perfectly and had amazing flavor. The lamb was tender, and the kottu roti had a perfect balance of meat and vegetables. The hoppers and condiments were also excellent. We will certainly return to sample more items on the menu.
The curries were flavorful and satisfying, and the service was friendly. The standout dish was the butterscotch and banana hopper. I highly recommend this restaurant and can't wait to go back.
This was the second place we visited as part of The Glebe Tasting Treks. This was to be the main course of our progressive dinner. The aromas that greeted us entry were infectious and set us up for a lovely meal. Staff were pleasant and very accommodating. They don’t serve alcohol here however welcome to BYO. <br/ <br/ We were all brought some refreshing Mango Lassi to begin. These were definitely needed as spice levels were higher than I’m usually accustomed to. The dairy in it has a nice cooling effect. We were all brought a plate of different hoppers including an egg one as well as some noodle ones and bread. We were surprised at the generosity of this as thought we’d be sharing a plate each. These were the perfect vessels to mop up the shared curries including a chicken one as well as a vegetarian one. Lots of other condiments accompanied these and made for a filling meal. <br/ <br/ Might be slightly cramped inside and a bit loud once everyone started chatting but definitely a must try if in the area.
This is a really good take on Sri Lankan Cuisine and really caters to those are vegetarian.Atmosphere and environment is spot on 10/10 can feel crowded but that's part of the Sri Lankan charm where giving food should be cozy and home like. Here you will be able to select anything and not be dissapointed, for starters get the Vegetarian Cutlets or Polloss cutlets, the fish cutlets are just as good! More so, Lankan places that serve something called Hot Butter Cuttlefish, Calamari or Squid is something to really melt them taste buds and definitely give a the Fried White Bait a go! It'll go well with a beer.Vegetarian Biryani and Chicken Lamprais is definitely something to munch for mains, but there was so much food we ordered off the menu, literally every thing was great.Desert, oh man, Milk Hopper (Kiri Aappa) is a delicacy that just shows how different Lankan cuisine incorporates sweetness into food. There is also a paper cone sweet dosa like dish, served with ice cream. That is also something that won't dissapoint.Take your first date here and wow him/her. A vegetarian and Sri Lankan's haven for food. The owner is also a really kind and friendly person, who does make some amazing recommendations!
