Contribuiți la feedbackI really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food at this restaurant. The beef and lamb dishes were fantastic. The chicken was okay, but I'm not a fan of okra. For starters, we had some cheese and a pastry dish that were both delicious (I forgot the names).
The food was really delicious, but I am only giving it a 4-star rating because the staff wasn't very friendly. They seemed a little annoyed that we hadn't ordered after sitting for 15 minutes, even though our friend was running late. The restaurant was not very busy as it was before 6 pm. Despite the service, I still recommend going for the amazing food!
Fancy Greek food. This place has some really great tasting food at a very nice location with great service. A great date spot, fancy dinner with friends or family with a classy ambient vibe. Food prices are about 30 aud a dish and more for drinks. Specials are available and change very regularly. I personally thought the dips and pita bread was superb. They have some of the best tableware too!
Loved what they did with the interior, so bright and inviting with the white washed brick wall. Service was friendly and food came out prompt, although I have to say the portions are wayyyyy too huge, we ordered 2 starters and 2 mains between the two of us and we struggled to finish although the flavours were good.
The exterior of the restaurant is grand, while the interior is impressive and monumental. 1821 made a significant impact when it opened in late 2016 with renowned modern Greek chef David Tsirekas at the helm. After Tsirekas left for overseas ventures, owner Jim Kospetas has maintained the high standard by partnering with BlueFish Restaurant Group in Greece. The menu is now overseen by George Economidis and executed by head chef Luiza Gomes, featuring seafood-focused contemporary Greek dishes. The lavish fit-out, designed by Dimitris Economou, boasts a private dining space and elegant decor. The comfortable seating and excellent service create a relaxing atmosphere. The cocktail menu is crafted by Aaron Goodfellow and includes standouts like the Achilles Heel. The cold mezedes are a hit, especially the Marinato and Cherry Tomatoes. The wine list features Greek wines, such as the Santo Assyrtiko and Domaine Zafeirakis Estate Chardonnay. The Cacio E Pepe Di Mare, Lamb Souvla, and Galaktoboureko dessert are all must-tries. Despite some misses like the Mussels, overall, 1821 offers a delightful dining experience with its modern Greek cuisine and elegant ambiance.
