I met a friend at this restaurant for a mid-week drink. It was very quiet, but the drinks were alright. The ambiance was not very appealing.
We have dined at this restaurant twice and have enjoyed the food and found the service to be quick, even when it was busy. The special margaritas are unique and we have enjoyed trying a few of them. However, we were disappointed with the basic Margarita as it is made with a pre-mix or lime cordial and not completely fresh ingredients. This may not be a big issue for some, but for us, the classic Margarita is a key drink at a Mexican restaurant and it must be made well. If you enjoy Sangria or Coronas, you will likely appreciate this restaurant, but as a Margarita lover, I left feeling a bit let down.
We visited before a concert so it was packed. The maitre'd took our name and we waited about 10 minutes. They took our order promptly and the marguritas were really good. Our meals arrived quickly and tasted great, a big bowl of really really good nachos, and the burrito plate had a lot of guacamole and sour cream to go with the chicken, salad and rice. I was amazed at how quickly they got everyone through but we didn't feel hurried at all, and staff were friendly and happy despite the obvious stress they were under with the big crowds.
The food was below average. The beef burrito was 95% lettuce and lm not kidding. The tacos at $15 for 2 very small servings and everything lacked presentation.
