Den Gamle Kro - Syddjurs

My husband and I were on the way back from a spa visit for our anniversary and decided to pop into this place on the way back for a late lunch. Quaint and innocuous, it has a simple menu but omg I had a ratatouille moment with their Pariser boeuf and Moules Frites. The mussels, fries and aioli absolutely to die for. Absolute perfection, beautifully cooked and served. It’s been so long since I have been prompted to write a review but this place deserves stars. Service was attentive and lovely, what a special anniversary lunch this was. If you are cruising through this town, make a lunch stop here please. Whoever is cooking, you have a bright future ahead of you.

I was 2 weeks in the hotel. The bathroom was very simple. The 2 doors from the shower was missing. After the shower, the fllor of the bathroom was completly wet. The towels were chainged daily, but the room was cleaned 2 times in 2 weeks !

Great hotel with a fine restaurant but due to COVID-19 the restaurant is closed and we had to eat dinner from a take out place.
