Not really up to Hilton standards. Wall paper stapled back in place, moldy shower. Friendly and courteous desk agent. Still a decent place to shower and sleep for a few hours.
Great place. Great Room.Amazing hot breakfast. Texas Shaped Waffles. Great service. The room had a small issue with the thermostat, but the temperature was set to my liking so I left it alone.Overall, great place to stay.Next time I would like to try their indoor pool. Great service and friendly caring staff. Definitely a destination next time I'm in town.Food drinks: Two options of waffles flavor. Eggs, sausage and potatoes. Great selection of cereal, good coffee. Loved it.
I recently stayed at the Hampton in Sweetwater, TX. All the staff I interacted with were delightful. However, the cleanliness of this hotel left a lot to be desired. For starters, the bed in my room had 2 dead bugs on it, a small moth and a spider. The office chair was broken and didn't roll or lift. The pool, OMG the pool was disgusting. Looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a month. Dirt collected at the bottom, bugs floating on top. The hottub wasnt working and the water had a green tint with a stagnant smell to it. Goes without saying I did not partake in these amenities. This location is definitely one of the lower quality Hamptons I have stayed in and I stay in a lot.
The gentleman that helped us was friendly. The first room we were given, the door was open when we got to it. Long story short, it wouldn't shut due to the frame. You had to pull the door up and over to shut it. The second room, the bathroom door when shut, there was still a huge opening from the door to the frame. He said the hotel was about 14 years old. Other than that, the rooms were great!
