We used to frequent Jan's during the warmer months to sit on the patio with our staff at lunch. Unfortunately the last several times we have been there, there has been a guy on the patio smoking weed the entire time. Smoking it, rolling it, going back inside and then the process starts all over again within 10 min or so. I'm not a prude or anything but it's not really an environment I want to take my staff to. I'm shocked it's even allowed to be honest. I didn't think smoking was allowed even on patios at restaurants in the state of Michigan anymore. Maybe I'm wrong. The staff are usually great and the food is always pretty good. Hopefully we'll be able to go back next summer again. 10/10, favorite bar i’ve been too all time. Jake is my favorite bartender and a good friend as well and has always served me with kindness love. There’s nothing negative to say about this place, management is amazing, servers/cooks are always on their A-Game, this will forever be home for me. Also love me some Brit, Ashley, Macy, etc there’s no place like Jans’s Bar.
