Contribuiți la feedbackWonderful staff, the meals were cooked to perfection and the "Ginger Pudding" was the perfect finish. A welcoming atmosphere and very good wine list. Their pizza is obviously a big hit judging by the number we observed going out the door. If we are through Swan Hill again will definitely be back here.
The book of info in the room and the Receptionist at the IBIS SwanHill advised me that this Restaurant was the best to go too. Well, what can I say. Owner John Tripodi met us at the door and showed us to our table and gave us the best and friendly introduction to the Restuarant. We enjoyed a good bottle of Brown Bros. Duriff 2014 with our meal of Egplant Chips as starters which was absolutely to die for before the mains which was Rack Lamb and the other meal was Eye Fillet both med/well done. We just could not do justice to Desert, unfortunately. Delightful place to dine with no noise and pleasant to dine in the Main Street of Swan Hill. We have 2 days here so the ambience of restaurants is enormous right on the Murray River and we are loving it. Ashley the Waitess was such a gorgeous girl who was keen, enthusiastic and oh so lovely. When next in Swan Hill, do try this Restaurant; not difficult to find but just superb. Good Italian dining. Can't go wrong! We loved it anyway. If you have kids dining with you, unfortunately you can't take in the ambience of it all. My suggestion is get a baby sitter or just don't go if you can't enjoy just being a couple. The food is fantastic; the wine is fabulous and I have worked in a 5 star hotel in the city and I know my stuff ! I don't go to a licensed place to have pizza. I want a good place to relax in and enjoy the menu. If you want to feed your kids either cook for them or go somewhere where it is easy eg McDonalds. Being a stranger in town, I loved it and am no way connected to the owner. Go back and try it just as a couple with a good bottle of red or takeaway which they have on hand. Do you good and enjoy!
Good quality Italian food, very good service, I had the vego gnocchi, good flavours , my partner has spaghetti marinara and he said was good, local wine by the glass was fine.Looks like a they have done a recent update, and could do with some nice local art work, would recommend to fellow travellers, particularly when looking for Monday night dinning.
We dined at Quo Vadis on our first night in Swan Hill. The service was very friendly and the hosts were very sweet with our children, but sadly the food was average. We had the pizza's (margarita, vegetarian and meat lovers). It's not that they were terrible it's that they weren't great. Bit too much cheese (I know it's actually possible!) and bases weren't crispy. This place has so much potential and judging by other reviews we might have had a bad night.
We dined at Quo Vadis when in Swan Hill for the races. My first impression of the restaurant was that it was similar to an art gallery without any art. No paintings or pictures on the wall. We were a party of six. I ordered the veal ragu pasta, the fettuccine was over cooked, the Napolitano sauce was bland and the veal ragu amounted to three tiny pieces of meat - I only ate half the dish. The girls had the flat head tails - two flat head tails in batter, chips and a mayonnaise for $35; not really any value for money there.Other people at the races we met did not have good things to say about the restaurant. The waitresses were friendly and the pizzas looked okay.Don't think if I would go back in a hurry.
