The Boathouse Cafe - Swale

This restaurant is a quaint cafe located in a beautiful lakeside setting. The staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, and the food was delicious, especially the local sweet soup. There were plenty of parking spaces available and a large children's playground nearby, which was perfect for when our little one got restless!

We went to the lake to paddleboard for an hour or two, but also decided to have something to eat. We both ordered bacon and egg baguettes and I must say they were cooked nicely and a good size for the price paid. The girls who made them did a great job, despite being busy with many customers.

This restaurant is a lovely and cozy spot with charming shaded seating areas. The food is delicious and the portions are very generous, as you can see in the photo of the child's Sunday roast. The prices are reasonable and on the lower side.

We go here to sit by the lake at least once a month. The food and drink is good. The Play sand area and pond dipping is wonderful for the grandchildren. We spent a whole afternoon here.
