So Gong Dong Tofu Bbq 109 - Suwanee

I've visited this restaurant multiple times and I never get tired of it. The seafood pancake is outstanding, the hot stone bibimbap is incredibly tasty, and the tofu soup is rich in umami flavor. So Gong Dong is definitely my go-to Korean restaurant. As for vegetarian options, there are plenty of Korean banchan that are vegetarian-friendly.

Needless to say, I won't be returning. I found both the food and service to be overrated, especially based on the reviews on Google. There are definitely better options for your time and money elsewhere. Not here.

The restaurant appeared to be clean, and we were seated right away. The prices were a bit on the higher side, but the portions were generous. The tteokbokki was plentiful and incredibly delicious! We also had small servings of kimchi and cucumber salad, which were tasty as well. I ordered dumpling soup, but they accidentally brought me pork soup instead; however, they quickly rectified the mistake. The soup was marked with two chili symbols, which suggested it would be spicy, but it actually had no heat at all. Additionally, I found a hair in my soup, and the dumplings were undercooked and tasted frozen.

Unfortunately, the rice cakes were quite disappointing in terms of taste. But my main concern isn’t really about the quality of the product. I believe the restaurant owner should prevent her from selling homemade goods to customers. It felt inappropriate for the restaurant to allow this, and I personally felt trapped in a situation where refusing was not an option.

The entire staff was incredibly friendly and worked efficiently. It was quite crowded, but everything was kept clean. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite meet our expectations. The soft tofu stew was decent, but nothing remarkable. The smell of pork in the dumplings was overpowering, making them difficult to enjoy, and there were only a few side dishes available.
