Been to Voulez Vous previously and thought what better place to have my 40th birthday. The owner Minja and his team did an awesome job in catering for a group of 26 people. A great choice of either seafood or meat dishes. That plus cold platters including various dips and olives left all guests full. The food came quickly and pretty much all at once. We had all the top of the restaurant to ourseleves and had a great time. Great food and service. Check it out. Go on an empty stomach! Thanks Minja.
Really enjoy dining here. I was initially unsure about how much I'd enjoy Serbian food but I'm now converted! The smoked pork fillet was one of the best dishes I have ever had- simply delicious. The hosts are also very friendly- our group was given a round a honey rakija shots which was a very kind gesture.Overall this restaurant / bar has a great ambiance with even better food and service.
We liked the eclectic mix of furnishings a design storm in a teacup. Would say the wall couches are a little low I'm 1.73 and needed a cushion under me. That aside we had desert one night and went back two nights later for dinner. Both times oddly quiet ( thank God no live music) food was great and plentiful we went to Jamie Oliver's the night before very entertaining but food was better here, both portion and quality. Coffee is unusual probably not if your Sebian only comes black but worth a try. We all ranked this our best all round experience of the five restaurants we tried
Arrived at 7pm on a Friday night and the place was totally empty, whilst they were queuing up next door to get into Butter. I was a bit concerned wondering how fresh the produce might be. By 9pm the place was packed to the rafters! The food is Mediterranean, Serbian influenced, with most diners coming from that part of the world.Started with Tuna Carpaccio and the octopus. ($20)The tuna consisted of finely sliced Tuna Steak, Rocket, Avocado, Cherry tomato, Capers, Red Pepper Remoulade Dijon mustard. VERY nice with everything on the plate working perfectly together. The octopus in red wine sauce was served on a bed of yellow split pea cream. The dish was tasty, the octopus cooked perfectly. I found the cream base a little bland, but it still all worked well together. ($21)The palate cleaner (lemon and golden quince sorbet) was a nice surprise…pretty good. For mains we both had the Salmon Fillet en Papillote. Salmon was served in a paper bag that had been cooked in a beautiful tasty broth of three colour capsicum - spinach - carrot - lemon – basil. The salmon was served pink. Personally I would have preferred it to be slightly less cooked, but still a nice meal. ($32)Had an Argentinian Malbec which was very good. ($55)The servings are decent and we were stuffed, with no room for dessert (they looked divine)The two staff were fantastic, and coped well considering they were run off their feet serving food and preparing cocktails for other diners. The décor is stunning, the room not too noisy and chairs were very comfy.$149.00 food value for $69.00 (plus wine) on a voucher. What a steal! We will definitely return.
