Playing with a palette of primary colours, the updated Umi Sushi & Bar certainly commands your attention.
Service lacking even asking for water (several times) and still couple of our group didn't get water.
So I have read the reviews here and I can't say my experience was so poor while I found that eating is quite expensive, I have what I ordered to enjoy the salmonaburi was very tender with a noticeable chararooma, although not excessively carved in appearance. I liked how it wasn't drunk in beats and sauces like some places. the wagyu aburi had a nice taste, but I found it a little chewing and difficult, by the other choices were too strongly sown, although beautiful enough below we came on the afternoon and no edamame at all available. my green tea was served with the tea bag still in the cup, which is a little cheap looking.

Tsukiji is a newly opened restaurant in surry hills (besides le monde,) which offers a series of Japanese cuisine, including sushi on conveyors, bento and other side dishes. the sushi is really hard, (frenched) cold and inconspicuous. the server left the doors open to ventilate the restaurant, but it was cold and dry in the last night. every moisture in the sushi rice has diffused into the environment. there is therefore a great difference between freshly ordered sushi (unagi) and the people sitting on the transporter (Egg/Lummer).
