Menz Noodle House Miàn Zi - Surrey

I was pleasantly surprised by the extensive menu at this small restaurant. The food was delicious and the prices were reasonable. I ordered takeout and was impressed by the flavors. I especially enjoyed the variety of noodle dishes available. This place is perfect for locals like me, as it's within walking distance.

I recently tried the Chinese soup noodle in South Surrey and was pleasantly surprised to find that it was not catering to non-Asian preferences like other Chinese restaurants in the area. The addition of spicy sauce on the side really enhanced the flavor of the noodles. I also enjoyed the salt and pepper wings, even though I suspect they contain MSG. The mushroom chicken soup noodle was delicious, with a broth that reminded me of the HK BBQ soup noodles. My husband loved the beef noodle and the spicy oil on the side. Despite finding the overall soup a bit salty after adding chili oil and vinegar, I still think it was a great soup noodle experience. We will definitely be returning for more! Good soup noodle for the win!

I had a great experience at this restaurant. The lamb vermicelli had a pho-like broth with chunky pieces of lamb, and a side of garlic sweet chili sauce. The $5 house tea was of good quality and came in a generous portion, with to-go cups available. The sweet prunes complemented the green tea nicely. The pork ramen had flavors that were reminiscent of instant ramen, and the seasoned eggs were a tasty addition. The decor was appealing and would make for a romantic date spot. The only downside was the slow service during mid-day, and the difficulty in communication with the server.

Amazing, delicious noodles in the area, you just need to be a little patient! The food here is amazing, from the soup noodles to the dry noodles and the side dishes. A lunch combo is offered if you want to come at lunch hours. The team here means well, but English at times isn't their strongest suit, so a bit of grace and patience will go a long way in a fantastic noodle experience for you and guests. How confident am I about this place? Very.

The broth tastes authentic but the beef tastes off. There is no chilly oil and vinegar on the table and they’ll only ask you if you want it spicy or not at the time of ordering. I don’t doubt they’ll give you more chilly oil upon request but its not as convenient if there is one on the table just like other Chinese noodle places.Portion is small. I had to go the Tims close by to get another sandwich to get full.
