Contribuiți la feedbackDuring our next visit, we started with the Goon-man-do (fried dumplings), which were tasty but not quite as good as the version at Jang Mo Jib. I decided to try the spicy seafood Tofu Stew, and our server kindly asked the kitchen to make it less spicy, which turned out to be just perfect. The broth was excellent and it was a hearty, warming dish. Finally, we tried the Fresh Noodles with Stir Fried Black Bean Sauce. The noodles had the perfect texture and I enjoyed the flavorful sauce, although they do use a lot of onions here. I'm not sure if that is typical of Korean food, but I don't mind at all. There is so much more on the menu to try, so I definitely recommend giving it a shot!
This restaurant is pretty good. I especially enjoyed the fried dumplings. The Jjampong (spicy seafood noodle) comes in a large portion, but it isn't very spicy compared to other places. It's a healthier option that is easier on the stomach, with little to no garlic. The noodle was interesting as it was a mix of thinner and thicker noodles, chewy but tasty. The seafood was a bit chewy during my last visit. It seems like there may have been a change in ownership, as when I went in the summer of 2015 it was spicier and more flavorful with a roasted pepper taste, and a different noodle. However, the portion was smaller at that time. I recently returned to try it again, this time opting for the extra spicy Jjampong. It definitely lived up to its name, with a better broth and more seafood taste. The dish didn't have much garlic, but included a good amount of vegetables such as water chestnuts. The tofu soup was average, especially considering its price of almost $10 and the fact that it doesn't come with rice.
We arrived for a late lunch, so the restaurant wasn't very busy and we were seated right away. We started with the fried dumplings, followed by the noodles and rice both with black bean sauce. The dumplings were crispy and not too greasy, albeit a bit plain. The black bean sauce on both the noodles and rice was very tasty, despite being a bit watery (typically it's thick). We recommend trying the sauce, even though it may not look appealing at first glance. The food was of good quality, the service was efficient, and the prices were reasonable for the generous portion sizes. Overall, we would recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning.
Good service...although lady didn't speak or understand much English. The seafood scallion pancake was amazing! Fried dumplings good appy. Hot meat stew was bit lacking in meat. Pork cutlet curry was a bit on the sweet side for us. Would revisit.
A neat little traditional style Korean restaurant located right by the H Mart. The soups come in large portions and taste spicy and are full of flavor. I would recommend the Spicy beef soup, the soup is full of tender beef and packs a punch. Overall I would recommend this place, it's great!
