Contribuiți la feedbackI've often eaten breakfast and lunch here. The food was always good... a solid 4 stars, at least. Chicken cheese Steak is great. Fries are crispy. They don't skip on portions. Lots of food on the plate. Iced coffee is very good.
My friends roast beef smells like fish. My sandwich was okay. We have pommes that we are delicious and fresh.
Terrible service. I've been eating at the restaurant for decades. Mostly very relaxed, beautiful place to get a solid breakfast. Today was a completely different experience. Tomorrow we'll have breakfast with my wife. Place was half empty, I asked the booth in the corner where we usually eat. Woman who greeted me at the door said: No, we? re save the booth for a bigger party? I pushed back (after all, the place was half empty), just to learn that she didn't come in a big party... she kept it open? Just in case? when the church comes out, and then she rudely told me as her reason not to let me sit in that stand?I am the owner.? I notice that the stand is the same as any other stand at the place, you can press in four persons max, so there was no magic at this stand. In fact, I usually eat in this stand (if available) with my wife or with my son. In fact, just last Sunday, my son and I went in, asked about the stand in the corner, and was shown pleasantly at the stand in the corner (from another woman a young girl who clearly understood good customer service), where we enjoyed our usual weekend breakfast together. This new owner does not understand customer service, which is a shame. She just lost a customer of almost 40 years, along with my extended family and friends. I wouldn't recommend doing business to the new owner. There are great breakfast places on the island owned and operated by large people. Scojos in Surf City is such a place. The owners, Scott and Joe are good people, appreciate their customers and serve great food. Perhaps this is the reason why there is always a waiting time (and why subbogies, which is 500 meters away is always half empty). Scojos is worth waiting.
We were really excited to order lunch from this place. Subbogies. The name gave us the impression that their sub-parts were amazing. Unfortunately we were missed. Each part we bought had 1 thin piece of meat and 1 piece of cheese. No oil and vinegar. So basically we spent $35 on thick, stale bread with a hint of cheese.
Figured a place with a name that sounds like a portmanteau of sub and hoagie would be able to put together a first-class submarine sandwich. They did a respectable job, but I gotta knock them a star for not getting the order right. How do you have a sub without oil and vinegar? That 's just a sandwich. What I got was great, but disappointed to not get the full experience. Would try them again and check before leaving that they got it right. Also, it 's more of a sit-down eat-in place than a true take it to go sub shop. They 'll fix you a sandwich to go but it 's not really their first instinct.
