Boulevard Clams - Surf City

I really enjoy the cozy, hidden gem atmosphere of this place, and their clam chowder is both delicious and budget-friendly. The lobster roll is beautifully rich and simple, packed with plenty of lobster. If I could afford it, I would eat here every day!

I visited for lunch, and while my girlfriend ordered a burger that was just average, that’s not the main reason people flock to this place! The lobster roll was undoubtedly one of the best I’ve ever had, ranking in my top five. The lobster was perfectly cooked, fresh, buttery, and incredibly succulent. The price was fair and in line with what you’d expect for a lobster roll. We also tried the calamari, which was excellently prepared and absolutely delicious. The ambiance was charming with reggae music playing and a beachy vibe. The staff was super friendly too. I honestly can’t wait to return next year!

We both started with the lobster bisque, which was flavorful; however, for $8.99, I would have appreciated a few chunks of lobster rather than just some flakes. We ordered the steamed Ipswich clams, but they were quite sandy! We then shared a fried seafood platter with corn on the cob. The corn was cold, and the fish was barely warm, but it was still tasty. The scallops on the platter were fantastic. The only dessert option was key lime pie, which we aren't particularly fond of, so we skipped dessert. The highlight of our meal was our server, Kate, who was incredibly upbeat and attentive. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant. While we noticed they were busy, I'm sure they would have warmed our food if we had asked.

Excellent and fast service. Not cheap, but good. Serving sized were average. I liked that they had corn on the cob. Clam stops were good. A nice surprise. From the outside, it does not look like it’s an eat-in restaurant, a pleasant surprise. Staff was wonderful, at 7:00 on a Friday night we got a table when we walked in. Fries were great!
