Salish Kitchen Food Hall Refreshments

Easily one of the grossest casino buffets I 've been to. The smoke from the casino wafts right into the dining area, and I could swear a couple of smokers even walked in still smoldering. I took my son, because they have kids prices, so I assumed it was kid friendly. The prices weren 't bad for what it was at lunch time, but the cigarette smoke really killed it for me. I know it 's a casino, and I knew I couldn 't even complain as we walked through the actual casino part, but you 'd think they 'd find a way to keep the dining rooms smoke free. Every time the super nice lady brought me fresh water, it literally tasted like an ashtray. Almost as if, they kept the pitcher next to one. It kept grossing me out when I 'd take a sip. The food was either mediocre or gross depending on what it was. Everything from the carving station was cold and had a funky taste like the polish sausage and prime rib . The beef stroganoff was completely dry and bland and the noodles were hard. We sat by the Mongolian grill and watched the guy cook the whole time and it didn 't look very appetising, but I didn 't try it. My son tried everything from the BBQ section and it all looked pretty gross. The salad bar and the dessert bar are really what brought this up to the 2 stars for me. Their pies and ice creams were very good and the salad items are very fresh. If I wanted to go to a salad bar only, I 'd probably pick this place if it weren 't for the casino smoke seeping in. If they can put some of those fans in the entrance way to create that barrier, I 'm sure they 'd be good, but I don 't think I 'd ever try dinner here.

After my first bad experience eating breakfast here, I have no idea why I decided to risk it again and have dinner here. Dinner was even sketchier... the crab legs were still frozen in the middle and the parts that were thawed enough to eat had a messed up texture, seemed like they had been frozen/thawed/re-frozen before being left to thaw yet again that night. The only thing I really felt safe eating was some freshly cooked vegetables. The dessert section was pretty abysmal, clearly executed with low quality ingredients. Not recommended at all!

Ate Thanksgiving buffet dinner here last night. Very disappointing. We have been going here for Thanksgiving for years. But this year will be the last time. First issue was the 3.25 minute wait to be seated. Second issue was the lack of enough seating as this restaurant has been downsized to less than half the seating they used to have. They simply did not have enough seating to seat everyone. Tables were squished together. Third issue is the quality and selections of the food items has went way down since the days this place was one of the best places to eat in Kitsap County. They really need to get a new manager to bring this place back to its previous glory. I wouldn't hold my breath. Take your money and go to the Emerald Queen Casino Buffet or some other place. Very disappointed in what this establishment has become. There were many unhappy customers for the Thanksgiving buffet.

Small in comparison to casino buffets but many fresh and above average choices and larger than a typical restaurant buffet. Their soups are always a favorite because I've had many unique housemade fresh varieties so that is a treat. The buffet is worth it even if you just eat the chilled shrimp!! I lived locally so the 2 for 1 deal on certain days of the week REALLY made this place an excellent choice and quite a deal. It was a rare week for us not to do the buffet on the 2 for 1 night. I have actually never had bad food anywhere in this casino from the fast dining to casual dining in the lounge, the buffet and the steakhouse but buffet stands out as a superb deal when you can get the 2 for 1 special.

It's okay. It has different sections set up four different types of food such as tacos, fish stations, prime rib station, ice cream station and dessert station, so that's nice. The people that work there are wonderful and helpful. I wouldn't pay full price for the buffet but they do have two for one night, and like I said it's okay. They have some good foods but, there's often a wait. The smoke from the casino makes you want to vomit. Sorry but it's true.
