Saltwater Shanty Homemade Ice Cream

I’ve been coming here for two years and it’s the best ice cream shop I’ve ever been too hands down. Plus the owners Leigh and Jeff are amazing and super kind. It makes for a truly pleasant experience

We love it here! A family owned ice cream shop with delicious ice cream! Great place to hang out while you're eating your ice cream. Chairs everywhere. My only pet peeve? Leave whenever you're done eating your ice cream. Others want to sit, too! It gets very busy the later it gets and they close at 9 and there is always a line at 8. So don't wait until then to go. Try this place you'll love the atmosphere!

Best Ice cream at Holden beach NC we had ice cream there every night it was great. They have a gift shop also with nice things

My husband and I always visit Saltwater Shanty when we are at Holden Beach at least one time!! Their black cherry ice cream (my fav) is THE best!! We love the seating area where we can sit down, relax and enjoy our treat of choice..and just for kicks…ask them to drizzle a little chocolate syrup over that black cherry goodness!! Great people…great service..great ice cream!!
