Sweeden Sweets - Superior

The fudge, chocolates, and popcorn here are fantastic. It's a wonderful spot to find retro candy. However, the prices for the chocolates are quite high. Additionally, the checkout line was very slow, which led to some impatient customers.

I recently visited Sweeden Sweets for the first time, and I was surprised to see Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers there enjoying an ice cream cone. The place offers a wide array of delightful treats and sweets, along with a unique selection of hard-to-find sodas from various regions. As a diabetic, this isn't usually the type of establishment I would frequent, but to my delight, they also have a good assortment of sugar-free options. It's reminiscent of a classic old-fashioned candy store or soda fountain.

This is one of the best candy shops I've ever visited, and it's definitely going on our must-visit list for future trips to the area. I wish we could bring the whole store back home with us! The kids had a blast exploring all the candies, sodas, and ice creams. They have multiple sodas on tap, and the owner (I think?) was kind enough to let us sample some. The vanilla ice cream, which is made with honey, was absolutely delicious. I’m planning to order a root beer float next time, but my banana cream pie ice cream was also fantastic. The kids really enjoyed the selection of freeze-dried candies and bottled sodas, even if some of the flavors were a bit unusual and ended up being gag gifts. The saltwater taffy selection is one of the best I've seen, but be warned: it’s a bit saltier than what you find in grocery stores. Our favorite flavors were cotton candy, candy corn, and strawberry banana.

Such a fun candy store! I was in the area for Grandma's Marathon and stopped in for some ice cream but also left with some chocolates for my pet sitter. They also had so many kinds of popcorn I will try next time!

I have found my favorite candy that I didn't know about it until I bought some. Freeze dried candy. I live in Oregon and they said they would ship.
