This place is one of the best-kept secrets for those making the trip up the Western Highway. Refuel with a note-perfect banh mí and a refreshing ca phe sua da (iced coffe) or hit up the refreshing rice paper rolls.The pandan waffles make a different sweet option at the end of your meal.Excellent young owners offer great service.

Situated in the previous site of the fabulous Western Pho, Western Rolls has had an interior makeover and now presents the best banh mi within miles.The very pleasant staff are quick and efficient in preparing a wide range of meat based and vegetarian filling for the rolls. The pork and chicken are freshly cut from delicious looking whole pieces of spicy meat.As well as the banh mi, they feature some excellent rice paper rolls, which offer some unusual combinations such as egg and prawn. The delicious beef and lemongrass roll is zesty and most appetising.Vietnamese and western coffees are also available, as well as a wide selection of cakes and macarons.Despite the bread rolls not having the crispiest crust (Selina Hot Bread in Sunshine offers the apex of baguettes) the fillings are excellent and the friendly service top rate.This is a thriving little cafe and is highly recommended.
