Deer Park Hotel - Sunshine West

It may look rundown from the road but once your inside, its ok.there are pokie machines there but in a different location from the sportsbar and bistro area. we had 2 meals from the sportsbar (similar to the old counter meal set-up) and its the same food as from the bistro dining area. the steak was cooked as per requested and was very nice to eat but the carrots seemed under cooked.the pots of soft drink seemed pricey, but I don't drink lolly water that often.the sportsbar is a wiser choice for a meal compared to the bistro if you can put up with the tab screens and live broadcast. plenty of television screens to watch afl, soccer and rugby games. i stall return, when i pass through that part of town again.

I had the lunch special in the sports bar which was $14 for a steak sandwich presented nicely on turkish bread with chips.They have pint specials of Furphies for $6 which I enjoy and has a lovely fruity taste. It was a nice quiet place to enjoy a beer and meal and read the paper provided by the hotel.Lovely large tv screen located in the beer garden for those sports lovers.

Excellent meal. My husband had steak which was cooked exactly like he requested. My parma was very nice. We had a voucher buy a main and other main for 3 dollars. Thought they might of given a smaller serving but both meals were a good size and we both couldn't finish ours.

Went to the Deer Park Hotel on the 12 February 2017 as we had relative over from Scotland. This is a venue that I have had many a catch up, but the visitors from overseas loved the atmosphere and the quiet cleanliness of the venue. Staff as usual were very friendly. Only problem was that we were asked to leave at 3pm as they were setting up for the dinner sitting. Not a real worry as they have the outside area or the poker venue to sit in. Of course I will be back.

First time visitor to deer park hotel .had a rump steak in the sports bar rump thick tender and juicy cooked to perfection with vegetables similar.if the barmaid had been a little bit friendlier this would have made for a pleasant night but you can't have everything can you ???
