Newport Beachside Resort

The only thing I enjoyed about this hotel was the location. The check-in process was extremely slow, even though I knew there were available rooms. The elevators were frequently out of order, resulting in multiple daily walks up seven flights of stairs. The hotel felt overcrowded on small grounds, but the location was truly great. The lounge chairs were comfortable and welcoming. The pool was warm and the outdoor areas were beautiful. However, the room left much to be desired. There was hair everywhere, the room smelled of smoke, and it was incredibly dirty. I inquired about the cleaning schedule, but the maid never came during our entire week stay. I once saw a maid in the room and requested cleaning, but she said I was not her assigned room and I would need to find someone else.

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The bar and restaurant were both excellent and reasonably priced. The bartender at the tiki bar was friendly and skilled at making delicious drinks. The beach atmosphere and staff made for a great experience overall. While the room did not match the picture, the proximity to the sea more than made up for it. We plan to return with our children and hope this can become a regular holiday destination.

The only good thing about this hotel is the beach right in front of it. it is amazing in the evening. the restaurant on the pier is also great. the rooms are not so bad, but I'm sure they could be better. I felt I could smell a stench. not sure where it came from. our bathroom had moos in the shower. the personal was good. but if you want to get an upgrade, you must pay out some money. no free upgrades. overall, quite decent.

Short review: Would I stay here again? No.I only give 4 stars because the pool and beach area is very nice!Long Review:STAFF: Front desk staff weren’t super friendly. The waitstaff at the restaurant and bar were nice and attentive.ROOM: Please be aware and view attached photos before booking. These rooms are not only outdated but are in need of some serious attention. I could tell that it was vacuumed and wiped down but the carpet was nasty, the lighting was awful, the cabinets were horrible!!!! There is NO COFFEE MAKER! There was a safe and refrigerator. NO CUPS but there was an ice bucket. There is a tv. The bathroom was okay. It needed updating. The water pressure was good. The provided soaps were nice.THE VIEW: We had a partial ocean view room the view was AMAZING! If they would have done some work to the room it would have been much better!THE POOL BAR: Very nice! Caribbean feel! Staff was friendly and attentive.POOL: Clean and warm.BEACH: Private. They provide chairs and umbrellas and have cabanas for rent.RESTAURANT: Nice and clean. GOOD FOOD!! Pretty pricey but it was very good. Staff was friendly and helpful.SPA: The spa was a nice touch. We had 50 min massages. The staff was professional and friendly.This hotel has great potential. The rooms really need some attention and updating.

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. The A/C was leaking, and the carpet was wet. They refused to give us a discount. The décor was outdated, and the room was not cleaned properly. Despite their website stating free package reception, they charged us for it. The bathroom was extremely small. I would not recommend staying here. It was the worst place I have ever stayed at.
