Makhani - Sunderland

Tonight, Makhani sent a delivery with poppadoms that were burnt on the edges, resulting in a dreadful taste. When I called to address the issue, I was told that they were meant to be like that. I explained that a poppadom should not be black, but the person on the phone continued to insist that they were roasted. Despite my lack of knowledge on Indian cuisine, I have never heard of a "roasted" poppadom. Being laughed at while discussing this matter was incredibly frustrating.

The restaurant offers warm and friendly service in a cozy atmosphere. The food is consistently excellent, whether dining in or getting takeout. We are regular patrons and always have a great experience.

The service and hospitality at this restaurant are top-notch, and the food is absolutely delicious.
