Bellini - Sunderland

A huge thank you to all the amazing staff at Bellinis for our party of 17 last night. Food and service was fantastic. The restaurant was so busy but staff were so attentive. Everyone commented on the lovely experience.

Attended here with a group of friends. Restaurant was packed with a decent atmosphere. I ordered a flat white coffee for my beverage and it was weak and tasteless. My starter of a chicken bruschetta was quite nice, but quite a small portion size. My main was really disappointing. I ordered the seabass, the fish was cooked ok but it was accompanied with a tomato sauce with calamari rings in it. The calamari was rubbery and had a strange taste. They were accompanied by a few mussels which were fine. The main was accompanied with seasonal type, vegetables, broccoli, carrots, which absolutely didn’t go with the tomato sauce. There were also a couple of roast potatoes which were completely undercooked. Generally just a strange meal that wasn’t very tasty, not worth £19.99. Friends mainly had pizza which looked fine, but nothing amazing.

I went to this restaurant with a friend for a reservation at 7:45 pm. We enjoyed starters, main courses, and Irish coffees. While the food was delicious, we felt rushed between courses. My friend wanted to order garlic bread to go, but we were informed that the chef had already left since the kitchen closed promptly at 10 pm. Although there were still customers dining, the restaurant staff seemed eager to close up for the night. I questioned the waiter about this, but he simply stated that it was the chef's hours and he was ready to go home. This lack of customer service and attention to detail is disappointing. In a quality restaurant, the chef would typically stay until all customers had finished dining. Unfortunately, it seems like the focus here is on getting customers in and out quickly rather than providing a pleasant dining experience. I have visited this restaurant multiple times, but the declining atmosphere and rushed service have led me to seek dining options elsewhere where my patronage is appreciated.

Food was beautiful. But the conditions in the restaurant was shocking. So uncomfortable with the temperature in there. And took too long to take our order

Perfect as always!! Love Bellini’s!! Food gorgeous and amazing….Staff are so attentive, welcoming and courteous….We just love the place!!
