Piattino Neighborhood Bistro - Summit

A very solid restaurant but nothing stood out as excellent. Good food and ambiance with a drink service. There are better Italian restaurants but this is a good choice, especially with people who may not all agree with a restaurant selection.

What happened to this place? I used to come here all the time with friends and family because it was consistently great. They need to get their act together and soon. About two years ago I came here with a group of friends and sat outside. We all ordered pizzas, which were ok to pretty good. BUT when the pizzas arrived I asked the waiter for some napkins since there were none on the table. He looked confused and replied that all the napkins were wrapped up with cutlery and we did not need cutlery with pizza. What? No napkins with pizza? After he said that I think he thought about it some more and eventually returned with some wrinkled up napkins that he had obviously unwrapped from the cutlery. I stayed away from Piattino until last week when I thought it was time to give it another try. The wait staff are still very confused. Prices are much higher and the food is just ok. No more lunch menu now just a menu with dinner prices. No more happy hour complimentary snacks, something I loved pre pandemic. Are you not interested in getting back your old patrons?

Very attractive interior and decor. The atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming. The food was even better! The squid ink pasta was perfectly spicy and flavorful. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

If you want to be ignored this is the perfect place and it's a shame because the food was very good, but the rest 0 stars. Was seated at a table with a prior reservation No One appeared at table for 15 minutes. Finally water was placed at the table and server worst server ever gets our drinks and appetizer order. Drinks and appetizer came out quickly but wrong drinks were served. Did not see server again till he took dinner order. Food came out quickly and was very good, we asked for additional drinks instead of placing them in front of us they were placed next to edge of table by elbow didn't even know they were there Dinner was finished our plates are removed and nothing wanted to order dessert and coffee but after 20 minutes no server. Finally he walked passed and we asked for check. This is the best, the bill was paid with 2 credit cards instead of charging half and half one card was charged the full bill and the other half the bill. When we brought it up to server he corrected with help from someone else and NOT ONE APOLOGY guess he was disappointed it was found out. There was no excuse for the terrible service plenty of staff walking around, restaurant was not crowded. Would not recommend.

Good wood-fired pizza but service is substandard. Servers need some basic training. Wine list weak. Better as a takeout option than dine-in.
