La Carreta Mexican - Summerville

My son absolutely loves this place. He loves the fact you get as much chips and salsa as you want. The artwork inside is really great, it gives the feel of old skool Mexico. Great atmosphere. You get big portions and the prices are fair. Lunch is even a better deal. The staff is prompt and courteous. The music is mariachi which is appropriate for the ambiance. All around great Mexican food .

We can't get enough of this place. Not only is the food the best in town, but the staff is amazing. We always have a wonderful experience here!

Ordered on line. Should not be a reason for lack of understanding on order. Ordered fried chimichanga with black beans. Received soft tortilla with no black beans and was cold. Empanadas was hot. Not worth the price but wanted to try. Probably not order again. To many Mexican restaurants to choose from that have not let me down. Nothing to brag about here.

I really like this place. Tops that chain La Hacienda any day. Better portions, nicer staff, and far better food. A good pick if you are looking for a Mexican dish and can 't decide. I 've enjoyed almost every time I 've come for dinner.

Good neighborhood restaurant with nice atmosphere. Free chips and salsa are served as an appetizer. We had the Carne Asada and the Burrito Bandeja which were both very good. The burrito comes with either chicken or steak with no extra charge for the steak option. Best part is that the bandeja or flag burrito actually looks like a Mexican flag!
