Mcdonald's - Summerside

I found what i can only assume was a literal piece of **** on my fries.__there was a small black-ish brown chunk on my large fries.

A few things we learned here: the blueberry crumble sundae is amazing. must have/try! the people were pretty patient with us as they explained that gift cards, paper coupons and app coupons originating in the US do not work at McDonalds in Canada. Be warned fellow tourists!

We stopped in for lunch. My husband had a burger combo that was just OK. I decided to try one of their salads as that is typically what I get for lunch at one of their competitors. I don't know who was in charge that morning but they certainly didn't do a very good job. Then my husband went back up to the counter to get another package of dressing for me and was told that he would have to pay for it! Unbelievable! Now that is cheap and ridiculous.There were at least 3 staff walking around complaining about how tired they were and watching an elderly staff member doing all of the work including wiping off all of the trays. I don't know how the manager on duty did not notice what was going on.

This in one of the busiest MD'S I know of. It used to be able to handle a lot of people quite efficiently Not any more! They have taken out the counters and now only two registers exist in this area. They can only work on one order at a time as there is no place to put the trays. The waits are unexceptionable. And everyone is in a mob waiting for food/drink. If you just want a coffee. your order has to come up in sequence where as before the cashier could turn around and just get you your coffee and you were on your way and out of the road of others. They have put in this "wait area" the new machines for ordering it your way, what a congested spot!!! Go through the drive through it is so much more (although very busy) better experience!

I love McDonald's fries... whey they're done right. More often than not at the Summerside McDonald's, they're not. Too overcooked, left too long, whatever it is... they aren't made properly. This is especially a problem overnight, when they apparently leave fries for a while before throwing them out. Not acceptable. I've forwarded these concerns before, and they were somewhat addressed, but I still get bad fries half the time I go there. They are very stringent about resolving issues, like if your fries are bad they won't give you a replacement meal, just the FRIES themselves. Which is pointless, since the meal costs MORE anyway if you buy the items separately. This location does not do the McDonald's brand justice. Wouldn't be such a big deal if it weren't so EXPENSIVE nowadays! McD's is supposed to be cheap! $10.00 for a regular meal now!!
