Horace Dickies Seafood - Suitland

My first time at this location. The Glenarden location SIDES taste way better. Mac n cheese was dry penne pasta and chunks of cheese, no creaminess, not baked, just stacked layers of penne. The greenbeans were bland and the seafood salad was had alot of mayonnaise and pepper but no flavor garlic salt creole. All I could eat was the Catfish, which doesn't disappoint. Chefs needs to update the franchise manual or train both cooks at the same time.

This was my first and only experience at the Allentown location. It is a small shack. I’ve ate at plenty of places like this before, but I was hoping the way the restaurant looked didn’t reflect on the employees. I was wrong. They looked at me upside my head when I walked in, and I already knew our short encounter would be the last. I had a pickup order, and I soon as I walked in, I asked if my order was ready, and an older guy behind the counter shrugs his shoulders and says “I don’t know.” A younger man helped me find my order. I left with a bad taste in my mouth, and I think it affected the way my food tasted. Or, maybe the food was just not prepared correctly to begin with. I just moved to the East Coast, and was hoping I had a new seafood spot to eat at.

Air did not work. Order 4 piece catfish dinner got two pieces cut in half. I feel ripped off for damn near $20. I need four whole pieces. Banana pudding was delicious.Food: 1/5

Decided to stop on Father’s Day and get fish. Purchased the meal they posted as a jumbo fish dinner with 2 sides at $17.49. First, the fish was not jumbo and was fried or refried too hard. The sides, collards were tasteless and the potato salad was horrible. I use to go to the one that was in DC, so much better. It appears that quality no longer matters just quantity how much money you make). I have posted a picture of the meal I had to toss in the trash because was not fit to eat. I am also surprised that people want tips for ringing you up at the register. How is that a courtesy when you can’t get a smile from the person. Things have really changed and not for the better.Oh yeah, I won’t be back!

The fish and the seafood salad and the hush puppies are really really good but the customer service is horrible My first time visiting the lady that was sitting at the cashier just sat there barely spoke very nonchalant not good customer service. The outside appearance looked kind of raggedy and dirty especially the entrance door look like it haven't been cleaned in years I visit this place on a Sunday. But other than that the fish is good and the hush puppies were made fresh delicious!
