Contribuiți la feedbackIt was a fantastic experience dining at this restaurant. The ambiance was welcoming and unique. At first, I was intrigued by the name "French Sushi" and the fusion of French and Japanese styles. The food was delicious and the staff was very knowledgeable and attentive. We started with two appetizers, the crispy calamari and gyoza, which came out quickly. Each of us then had a roll - the sweet heart roll, which had a nice kick for those who enjoy spicy food, and another roll with tempura shrimp inside and crab salad on top, which was amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant!
There is parking available directly at the restaurant, but it can get filled up during the dinner rush, as there are other nearby restaurants and shops. The restaurant can also be accessed from the Kroger parking lot. We were seated immediately. The menu is very extensive, which can be a bit overwhelming, but all the sushi I have tried here so far has been delicious! They serve cold beer and wine. The sea salt edamame was good but felt like it was missing something, and the edamame could have been boiled a little longer. The ginger house salad (part of the shrimp udon) was delicious and fresh. The shumai was standard, but the dipping sauce enhanced the flavor. The California roll was typical but tasty. The dragon roll was fresh and flavorful, and it was my favorite. The Happy roll had crispy tempura with a slightly tangy taste from the outer wrapping. The spicy tuna wasn't too spicy but was fresh and tasty. The chicken teriyaki was a bit bland and slightly tough. The gyoza was excellent, and the fried rice (for the price) was well-seasoned. The shrimp udon had a decent amount of shrimp and vegetables. The fried tempura ice cream was alright, but the outer tempura was too sweet. The service was very friendly, with the waitress bringing extra napkins after my son requested one for his spilled drink. Overall, a nice place to dine!
I don’t understand why there are so many great reviews…my experience at Mika was terrible. I am not one for writing many reviews…if it’s exceptional, I will take the time to write a good review….if it’s terrible, then I will take the time to say it bc I read reviews on this place and decided to go here based on that. First, the portion was small. $18 for a roll with about 4 pieces. The smell when it hit the table was that fishy smell which I determined was the seaweed wrap. I ordered the Victoria secret roll and it just came out bland. I then custom ordered a roll with ingredients that I like, and still…very bland tasting with a fishy smelling seaweed wrap. I am sorry to say it, but i will never come back. The place is cute as far as decor and it was clean, but the place was empty on a Thursday night at 7pm.
They have premium wasabi! Try the cold sake Platinum, it pairs perfectly with sushi! We tried the Hollywood Roll and the Fancy Tuna rolls. They were both AMAZING!! Five stars for this place ?…for service, variety of dishes and rolls, quality of the sushi, and some THE best quality and tasty sashimi I’ve ever had in Georgia!
This was our third or fourth time dining at this restaurant since it opened. We were not impressed at all. We are unsure if it was because we ordered takeout instead of dining in, or because we ordered hibachi instead of sushi. We were extremely disappointed with the quality and freshness of the shrimp and lobster, the portion size of the Mika Special for 2, the lack of seasoning and sauce, and the bland broccoli. It is unlikely that we will return.
