Contribuiți la feedbackFor 32-34 dollars I expected a large portion. The seafood platter had 2 oysters a medium sized and a small), a piece of fish 3 inches at one end an an inch at the other only about 5 inches long, 4 decent shrimp, 2 scallops, and a good crabcake, and a lot of empty space on the platter, even a brown mark like something was there and either it fell off the plate or they took it off to add to someone else's order. I wouldn't pay 18.95 for this portion.
We stopped by Decoy's Seafood, located at 3305 Ferry Road in the heart of Suffolk for lunch and to watch the total Solar Eclipse. This place is fantastic and it was such a perfect day to enjoy the eclipse. We had some Bennetts Creek Nachos for $17. This is a hearty dish served with Grilled Chicken, Shredded Jack Cheese, Mango Salsa, Pickled Jalapeno and Sour Cream. This was a fantastic dish and we really enjoyed it. Being a large portion, it was certainly enough to share, so you won't overeat, if you're having an entree. Mauri was our server and he was friendly, attentive and helpful with menu questions and suggestions. We had a great experience here and we are already planning our next visit.
I visited Decoys Restaurant in Suffolk for lunch and was thoroughly impressed. From the moment we walked in, the service was top-notch, the ambiance clean, and the views from the restaurant were simply beautiful, offering stunning harbor views that added a special touch to our meal. We decided to try the flounder basket and the Crab and Corn Chowder, both spectacular in flavor and presentation. The flounder was notably fresh and succulent, encased in a perfectly crispy breading that was a delight with every bite. The Crab and Corn Chowder was nice and thick, with beautiful chunks of crab throughout, providing a rich and satisfying flavor. It's evident that Decoys takes pride in its menu selection, the quality of its ingredients, and its commitment to customer satisfaction. The undeniable star of the show was the Blueberry Bread Pudding. Made in-house from scratch, this dessert was divine. It's rare to find such authentic, homemade desserts that leave a lasting impression, and Decoys certainly has a winner with this one. I am looking forward to returning to Decoys to explore their dinner menu. If lunch was any indication, I'm in for a treat. Decoys has earned a spot on my list of restaurant recommendations in Suffolk, and I can't wait to dine there again, not just for the food but for the clean, inviting atmosphere and the beautiful views.
This is my favorite restaurant and I stand on that. I live close by, like extremely close by, so I stop into Decoy's about once every two weeks. Although they tend to get busy, I'm always seated quickly. The staff is always friendly and everything on the menu is so delicious. Coastal Virginia is the seafood capital of the U.S., and I will not tolerate any slander! The seafood here is always fresh and tasty. I'm a little obsessed with the crab dip and pita chips. The Cajun seasoning really makes this a flavorful, punchy treat that's great as an appetizer before a meal or the meal itself! Yes, you read that correctly. The dip and maybe another app or just the crispy hushpuppies that Decoy's serves can standalone as a meal. I've also enjoyed the jambalaya pasta and the fried shrimp dinner (I think it's called boom boom shrimp I always have great food and service. I've heard mixed reviews from others about the service, but I've NEVER encountered hostility or any issues with diversity (you know where I'm going about that. I have a few friends who have told me that this place isn't friendly, and they thought it was due to their identity, but I've always felt welcomed, and the staff has always gone above and beyond to be extremely friendly and hospitable.
Great hospitality, waitresses was nice and patient! food and drinks were excellent will eat here again !
