I was turned on to the place while delivering for one of the apps. I 've been there at least a dozen times now, and everyone behind the counter is always smiling and quick with a hello.. the menu is full of Italian staples, pizza, pasta, salads, full entree 's and accompaniments but feels very American as well. the dining area is huge. they have a small stage up towards the back of the store so I 'm sure they play live music some nights. they thought of everything, they even have three little tables for when you bring your very small family members with you. 'with coloring books and other things to distract them. there are a good amount of outdoor tables as well which are off-street and quiet. This is just one of those well-known homie places that has really good food and really good service! I 've introduced myself to them, so feel free to tell 'em mcgillicuddy sent you!
Looks like a decent place with live music I spotted on Thursday night, but service a bit slow and staff seems a bit confused or overwhelmed, that was my impression.
Best chicken Alfredo with broccoli I have ever had. Literally so so good!!! And the garlic knots are to die for, everything is made fresh and from scratch and you can tell by the taste.
Franco's is a fun little place where ownership puts a lot of pride in what they make, and it shows. My onion ring app was very good and unexpected. Franco's doesn't take the bread crumbly batter approach, rather the batter bonded very stiff, creating an extra crispy wonderful ring that goes amazing with marinara. My suggestion would be use the SAME technique with the chicken parm batter. The chicken parm was okay, needed some seasoning and the very light fry coating blended the chicken in with the sauce and cheese (soft all around). The crispy onion ring batter would have been unbeatable with the sauce and gooey cheese. My gelato was excellent banana and chocolate chip. Service was fast and friendly. Pass on the parm but definitely try Franco's!
Same experience as a few others with fluctuating quality. Latest was a Margherita that had no sauce, half a tomato, and cheese and crust so thin they came out like a cracker. For $20, I expected more.
