La Stoccia - Subiaco

”Trendy” a word commonly used and ruined by people who are everything but trendy is a perfect word to describe La Stoccia. The place was crowded with locals of all walks of life. We felt like we were treated as equals (with locals which is not by any means a common feeling when travelling as a non italian speaking tourist in Italy. The service was without doubt among the best we have had in Italy. The staff spoke great English on an Italian scale. You could sence that the staff was really determined to make sure that we were happy and satisfied. The food was great. No gimmicks. Plain and simple food with fresh and quality ingredients. We gave the chef free hands to prepare us a menu and we were not disappointed. They also took into account my girlfriends vegeterianism ish, which was friendly of them. La Stoccia is among others also known for serving their self brewed beers of different varieties. We had their blond ale and the APA which were both superb. All in all, a must visit for anyone visiting Subiaco and looking for a relaxed local setting. Lastly, the prices are extremely budget friendly. What are you waiting for? :

We had a dinner alla stoccia , a beautiful place at the old town of Subiaco. The atmosphere was great and warm. The service was excellent and friendly and the food is homemade and local! We really appreciate the dinner, especially the soup of pumpkin and leek, the special polenta with fried bacon and other kind of meal. The prices are really affordable. We definitely recommended this cute place!

In occasione di una giornata di rafting nello splendido scenario della riserva naturale dei monti Simbruini, abbiamo scoperto questo ristorantino delizioso nel quale abbiamo assaporato un buon pranzo domenicale, fatto di squisiti latticini e affettati , ed una deliziosa lasagna porcini e tartufo. Personale garbato e gentile , prezzi onesti , si evince una certa cura per la qualità e genuinità dei prodotti.Consigliato
