Putien staffs always polite and friendly. Food are delicious too. Suitable for group or solo. Can order for small portion if dining alone. The fish is fresh and tasty.
First time trying out this outlet and must say the food is consistent. Outside seating area a bit cramp though. Had the few usuals, signature noodle, the soup, cabbage fried rice, garlic fried chicken and the sweet and sour pork. The tea is refillable.
Overall, Putien restaurant has consistently impressed us with their delicious food. Our top 3 favourites from Putien: 1. Deep Fried Squirrel Fish: This is one of our absolute favorites, which boasts a crispy exterior and tender, flavorful fish inside. 2. Red Mushroom Lor Mee: A noodle dish that delights with its rich, savory broth. It is simply mouthwatering. 3. Spinach with Salted Century Egg in Supreme Stock: The spinach dish is delicious, with the unique flavors of salted and century eggs. The supreme stock elevates the dish to new heights. The Fried Heng Hwa Bee Hoon is also worth trying. While the Sweet Sour Pork with Lychee is a hit with the kids, I personally prefer the deep-fried squirrel fish, which also offers a delightful sweet and sour flavor.
This place is slightly crowded on a Thursday night. The food is considerably good and the outstanding one will be the drunken squid and stir fried yam. The drunken squid is slightly sour and spicy so it makes a very good starter. The chrysanthemum tea is refillable. 2 pax meal cost around RM150.
