Contribuiți la feedbackWe had a wonderful restaurant visit here! The food was great and full of variety. The service was the best I ever experienced in a restaurant, our waiter Freddy was the best! The price was more than good for what we have! And whatever you do, don't miss the Mango Lassie!
After we saw Thali on the online menu, we went a considerable way to visit this restaurant. When ordering, we were advised that a Thali would take 45 minutes to make as it was 8:00 and it would be closed at 9:00, it would not be enough time for us to have a Thali. I suggested it would be a good idea to update their online menu to reflect this information as it is important for their customers. Two minutes later, the waiter appeared with a physical menu that proves that it gives the cooking time, but this showed 25 minutes to prepare a Thali. To realize his mistake that he just opened his initial 45 minutes, was a stretch of reality that probably brings us out at 9 a.m., then he comes back to tell us that they did not all the ingredients for a Thali, it was all a little desperate. We ordered two curries and two rice with a naan. The waiter did not write the order down, we commented on everyone else that we hoped that he would get it right, he did not, my hot spicy Dahl was served medium, my partners medium spicy chicken was served hot spicy. This is a basic mistake and will eventually ruin the meal of a person when it is too hot to eat / enjoy. I asked for additional spices to add to my medium curry, I would eat it quite a lot until it arrived. Our two curries were watery and disappointing. There was no excuse for the mistake in spices. Service was incredibly slow, there was a table of two when we arrived, we were the only other people. I'm sure it's got to be far better curry houses nearby, I would suggest to try them in this place.
A small homely restaurant with a daily unlimited buffet for 25,000 COP or the choice of an a la carte menu. I chose the buffet because it was freshly cooked and had plenty of choice. For starters I had a vegetable samosa, pakora and a fried lentil (bhora) cake. There was a selection of 3 vegetable curries and 3 meat curries. All the vegetable dishes had different flavours and tasted good. The chicken curry with sesame rice and the freshly made roti (bread) reminded me of home cooking flavours. Pineapple chutney finished the meal off well. I also viewed the a la carte menu which had a good selection of Indian food. I recommend the prawn malai kari to Colombians as it is like a spicier Sopa Caribe. INDIAN food is a British favourite and this restaurant does not disappoint. It should be just as popular in Colombia too.
So we gaged a curry, so we thought we would give this place a way out, but unfortunately we were disappointed. We wanted the Thali meat and veg, but it was said it took 45 minutes to prepare, and as we ordered at 8 and closed at 9 that wasn't happening. So I ordered a middle spice butter chicken and my partner ordered a hot Tarka dam. She's got a middle Dhal and a hot chicken. So beside the curries was watery and the breads were average. I have eaten all over the world Curries and had some amazing, that is not one of them, so if you like a good curry look elsewhere
