A coworker showed me this place in the summer of 2015 and I have been back twice since then. It gets crowed and they don't take reservations so get there early and get a seat. If you are a small group sitting at a large table, expect to be seated with strangers in that very European way. The food is always excellent and the wine is great...

Er Vaquita is a Spanish restaurant whose speciality is fish and seafood, keeping the level up with the meat and tapas. Its atmosphere is 100% Spanish (for the better and sometimes for the worse) since it has been decorated with a large variety of visual and graphic bullfighting elements The food is the same like the one that it is possible to find in any chiringuito in Málaga or Cádiz: grilled sardines, tuna steak, pork skewers, boquerones, etc.Tasty and served in large portions, the price is surprisingly unexpensive. In my view, Er Vaquita is by far the best Spanish restaurant in town. Service it is just fine.It is worth a visit.

I think the fact that I went there with a Stuttgart local who knew the best nights to go on helped, this restaurant does not take bookings and it was full even on the mid week night we went. The food was great and well worth the visit. It didn't matter that we had to share a table with another group, we even shared some dishes to get to try what other people had as their favourites :)
