Contribuiți la feedbackI had seen this place while working at the stages next door and thought it would be a good place to try out one day. I'm glad I listened to my instincts on this one. Hands down some of the best sushi I've ever tried. Came in on my birthday and had Kwyn as our server. The guy was amazing. His customer service was on point and always made sure I had beer to drink. The food was so delicious! Started with some oysters and rice spicy tuna, which are always the go to for when my wife and I get sushi. The rolls were tatsy and very well made. I highly recommend getting the toro and bluefin with caviar sushi. My mouth is watering as I'm writing this thinking about those two. SO GOOD! The restaurant itself was very nice looking inside, and the patio was definitely a vibe. Great music in the background also. I'll definitely be coming back to try the other rolls and sushi I unfortunately didn't get to try. Thanks again Kwyn for taking care of my wife and I.
The sushi is solid here. Nothing WOW but good. I go for the sashimi salad for $16. You can't beat that.
Yelp you did not steer me wrong. I was hungry and wanted to find a local spot but my taste buds were not satisfied with the memory of the multitude of sushi to choose from. I decided to take a risk and try a new spot and I was ready for the adventure. When I walked in I was pleasantly surprised to find seating at the bar. First thing first. They had a good arrangement of sakes to choose from. Sayuri if you like unfiltered and Kikasui if you like filtered (clear) sake. We were lucky enough to have Herman as our chef. He was amazing and his rolls were fantastic. We started off with the Toro sushi, on the specials. Followed by : uni shooter, uni sushi, cbs roll, yuzu ebi roll, don't forget the edamame and followed up with a blue crab hand roll. Oh yah the crispy rice was amazing with the yellow tail as well as the yellowtail truffle carpaccio. There is the scoop. I really can't imagine anything not tasting good on this menu. I will be back for sure since the service was great and the ambiance was chill. They had some good relaxing background music.
Only reason why I'm not giving 5 stars is because of the fact dogs are allowed inside. Food is great and the staff is really nice. But however I don't like dog hair in my food when they do the shakes next to you or smelling the animal while eating is just nasty. Because of this I don't think I will ever dine here again sadly but I will order take out. Best part is when staff goes and pets the animal then grabs your plate from chef and puts it on your table. No wash no nothing. NASTY!
The fish quality is superb. I like eating on the peaceful covered patio but, the space inside is nice too. It's just steps away from Ventura Blvd; a bit hidden from the main drag which to me adds to the charm. Besides the sushi and sashimi I enjoy the yellow tail or salmon collar which comes with a small fresh salad. Those two are great tasting and economical. Just be sure to let the waiter know you like the fish moist.
