Contribuiți la feedbackThe restaurant is located near a stunning glacier, about a 3km walk or drive from the parking lot. We arrived via a cruise from Northfjordeid and were absolutely delighted by the experience. Although we were told the walk would take 25-30 minutes, it actually took us 50-60 minutes due to the numerous photo opportunities along the way (the scenery was simply breathtaking!) and our lack of physical fitness for hiking up stairs and mountains. Thankfully, there was a Troll car available for those who preferred not to walk, which was like a large golf cart on 4x4 wheels. The restaurant had clean bathrooms, a souvenir shop, and a small cafe (albeit lacking vegetarian options, they did offer a variety of snacks and drinks).
A very enjoyable and easy hike. The route is not challenging and suitable for all skill levels. The scenery is beautiful. The only downside is the litter left by tourists who are brought up and down by tour guides. This area is supposed to be environmentally protected, but unfortunately, it is full of garbage and has a foul smell.
This restaurant offers a one-of-a-kind experience with a stunning natural setting. It is a serene oasis with waterfalls, glaciers, rivers, and lakes surrounded by beautiful cyan-colored ink from the melting glacier snow. Electric cars are available to transport guests closer to the glacier.
Best flight from norway. it is a very long walk/climbing to the gletscher so we did the troll auto hexe was great fun. the homemade cakes in the lodge are to die.
Nice and easy hike. Something that must visit and see while in that area. Breathtaking place with views. The oldest glacier and waterfalls. We've been during rainy day and it was cloudy. If you have an opportunity, travel there when it's sunny.
