Jacalito Mexican - Strong City

We were on a little day trip and stopped here on a whim. Food was fabulous and the staff were friendly and accomadating. We will return again when in the area.

Well my friends and I ate here before a few times and it was good. now after a long day in the heat watching trains at Matfield Green and a long hike up Pioneer Bluff to get train pics, we went here to eat. i was getting really tired and fatigued. i have Functional Neurological Disorder and autism, ADHD, etc. and i was getting fatigued and having weakness and plus past supper time. I needed to rest and eat and get my energy back to drive back to Emporia. we got there at 8:30pm and the sign said they close at 9pm. but the rude waitress said they stop serving food at 8pm. and they close at 9pm. She said we can come back tomorrow. I told her we live in Emporia we will be eating in Emporia. I had to sit in the car for 15 mins trying to get the strength to drive back to Emporia with no food. so we stopped at Huddle House and had the best waitress ever. really friendly and nice.

Close early when it was listed that they close at 9pm and they quit taking customers at around 8pm/ 8:30pm.

In my opinion this is some of the best Mexican food around. Especially the sea food. Friendly staff, great service.
