Not sure if this place is under new management but someone has definitely dropped the ball on the BBQ side of things. This review is in no way judging the full menu with any bias as I am sure other items on the menu are good but I would like to make it clear to all the BBQ grilling seeking people out there that the BBQ meal set we had last night was atrocious and of very poor grade. We had the BBQ meal set II which consisted of wagyu oyster blade, wagyu steak and ox tongue price $68. We expected the meat to come out looking fresh or how semi-fresh meat would look like i.e red in colour, tender and appealing to eat. Instead what we received does not even reflect the quality of meat sold at the Woolies meat section. The wagyu cuts came out frozen, grey and dark typical of the prepackaged, vacuum sealed cuts that have been sitting long in the freezer for many months on end. The ox tongue was just as bad if not worse. It definitely had been frozen for god knows how many months waiting for the next unsuspecting customer.Upon the meal set arrival the waiter dumped 3/4 of the meat onto the hotplate the reason he didn't dump the rest on was because he couldn't find enough room for it. I don't know if this is the new norm but by doing this I assumed that he didn't want us to all know that the meat was frozen. After a few minutes all the meat was cooked so we had to put it on to a different plate to prevent it from being over cooked. The meat due to it being frozen oozes out this greyish fluid, take note next time people. If you’re wearing dentures keep away from this BBQ set as your dentures will need replacement after feeding. It’s definitely on par with chewing cutting fish or squid, so dam chewy. So I ask the question to myself why is self grilling even an option if all they do is dump all your meat on the grill and expect you to eat it all in one go??? We had to get the waiter to light up the grill again just to reheat our food afterwards.Just a poor and extremely disappointing night out costing us $105 for 3 people. On a good note the soju was good (can’t go wrong there), the KFC was fresh and the side dishes were topped up. The BBQ meal set however should be given a hiding as the quality is extremely poor, I mean who serves frozen wagyu for a premium price. I understand all the all-you-can-eat buffets are notoriously known for their frozen meats but this is an established joint known for quality and prime cuts. If you’re looking for a good quality premium cut BBQ then head to the other surrounding restaurants that are plentiful in Strathfield but keep away from this place unless you’re into frozen old wagyu.
Simple, affordable, tasty and quick. Massive menu. Option to bbq your own meat. Big drinks list. Family friendly and really great service including a buzzers of you end up out the back area. My Bibimbap with beef in hot stone was YUM.
I've been here like hundred times! The food is very tasty, might be feels a bit overrated if you are not a big fan of asian food. But if you are, then try this restaurant. Love almost all the food, nice customer service, the place is ok.
Recently enjoyed a delicious dinner here at Ce Ci after randomly walking past. So many Korean eateries in Strathfield to chose from, it is never an easy decision. Restaurant looked quite full on a Friday night but the waiter escorted us through to another large area out the back past the kitchen so we were seated straight away. Plenty to chose from on the menu and we thoroughly enjoyed the two meals we ordered and shared. Prices all seemed very good value. Service was friendly and efficient and we weren't rushed out after we had finished. Only downside was ordering a bottle of white wine which was at room temperature but served in an ice bucket. It wasn't the same wine as indicated on the menu and was average at best but was only $18 so can't complain. Bottle didn't really get chilled until we were almost finished. Probably could have asked for more ice but didn't bother.... Obviously not a place where many people order wine !! Most diners were just drinking the complementary water placed on tables.Overall though, we did enjoy our meal and would go there again to try other dishes.
Strathfield is known to have a large Korean community and comes with it the plethora of Korean eateries. Walk down 'The Boulevarde' and Strathfield Square and almost every local business within eye shot is advertising in Hangul.Walk towards Redmyre Rd and you'll find a string of Korean restaurants vying for your business. Anywhere from Korean Fried Chicken to KBBQ.I've always loved Korean cuisine and have managed to visit quite a few of these restaurants in my frequent visit to Strathfield and one seems to stand out from the rest. It's not shiny advertising or marketing gimmicks that make this place memorable, but the taste of each dish.I've much compared the food between the restaurants alongside Ceci and I've always found them to lack flavor in comparison to Ceci's offerings.Ceci's menu caters to a wide range, from set meals to a la carte. Their Seafood Pancake (해물파전) is the perfect mix of crunchy and juicy without being soggy., they have the tastiest Soft Tofu Stew (순두부지깨) I have ever come across and if you ever decide to try this place out, hope that it are serving the sweet potato in their Side Dishes (반찬) that day because it is really something else! The staff are always friendly and the food comes out in a jiffy. The venue doesn't look big, but for those in the know, there's a lot more space out back.
