Just The Wright Place For Ice Cream

We live close and love this place. The family that started the location prior to Hodgies too is still involved and makes home made ice cream. Flavors are creative and always new ones to try (ask for suggestions). You won't be disappointed.

I was so keen to try ice creams from New Hampshire after all that I heard about how the ice creams here are very popular. This place is 20 minutes drive from Portsmouth and was on the way to Manchester where I stayed while we were here on a vacation. Yelp has such high reviews for the place and that 's what led me here. I was very confused after coming here as I saw the place as Hard Ice cream now, it seems the previous owner sold the place (which was 'Just the Wright ' and now the new ownership changed the name. Nevertheless the place still seems to be local favorite. We got small scoop of ice cream and the small size came in a big mug, almost a large sized Mc Donald 's drink 's size (no kidding . The ice creams were good, but nothing special.

Phenomenal homemade ice cream! It's a Seacoast institution. Lots of flavors, all the classics, toppings galore and friendly counter service. And they were so considerate and helpful with one in our party being gluten free: They looked at all the labels of the toppings he chose to make sure there weren't hidden ingredients. And they were patient, too. The portions are enormous (I recommend the small) and be it a sundae, a sugar cone or a cup, it's super premium stuff and utterly sublime. They also have sherbets if you want lighter fare. Take away only but they have several pink picnic tables to kick back and enjoy your treat. *FYI: Cash only, open seasonally from early April to mid-September*

We love this place! Great tasting ice cream and absolutely huge portions. Less variety in flavors than some other local ice cream stops, but those can be overwhelming anyways. They have more than enough to choose from and some great sundae options as well!
